Do you accept pitches from Author-Illustrators, or only from Agents?
Flying Eye: We love receiving pitches from Author-Illustrators! That has always been the core of our list. We have a whole section on our website on submissions with notes on what we are looking for. We also accept submissions from agents.
Post Wave: Yes! We currently have open submissions, meaning anyone, whether represented by an agent or not, is welcome to send their work to us.
DK Publishing: Yes, we do! Like most publishers, we have a limited number of picture books we can publish each year. The time and commitment we want to give to the Author-Illustrators we already publish is one of the reasons we can only take on a very small number from the submissions from both agented and unagented creators but we are always excited to see new work.
