What excites you most about being shortlisted?
Being acknowledged for my work is a gratifying experience, and with this exposure, I hope ‘Making Happy’ will captivate a broader audience.

Where do you usually work?
I find that I can work effectively in almost any environment, as long as I have a tranquil personal space to focus.

How long did it take to complete your project?
The timeline can fluctuate. A book encompasses not just illustrations but also extensive conversations, brainstorming, and discussions with the writer and editorial team.

What is your dream commission?
A commission that allows me to simultaneously write and illustrate. Combining these two creative processes would be a dream come true.

What’s your favourite thing to draw?
I am particularly drawn to illustrating subjects with a whimsical, imaginative, and fairy tale-like ambiance.

What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Persistently work, observe, and derive inspiration from your surroundings, even in the most ordinary aspects of life. The world is an abundant source of inspiration if you learn how to perceive it.

What are your plans for the future?
While I do not have any specific plans for the future, my foremost hope is to continue pursuing my passion and sustain a livelihood as an artist/illustrator throughout my later years.
