- Why did you create this work?
I created these illustrations as part of a series of seven illustrations that I created for an Instagram challenge for @Folktaleweek. The organisers of the challenge provided severn different prompt words, which were: Lost, Ink, Sea, Sleep, Underground, Illusion and Found. The illustrations had to represent these words and be based on the theme of folktales. - How were your illustrations used?
I have used the illustrations to illusrate a folk tale that I created and wrote for an Instagram challenge for @folktaleweek in 2023. I self-published this short story and now sell it on my own small Etsy store. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I created a detailed graphite drawing for these works, some works also included coloured pencils. This work was then scanned into Photoshop where they were digitally painted. I then added hand-painted texture overlays to create mood and atmosphere. - Was this project commissioned?
