Creative Practice Course 7

Illustration for gaming illustration by Susan Yung
An intrinsic element of games, illustration is used for visualising the world of a game and for the essential concept art and character creation. Artists also take on the challenge of creating their own games.

AOI members have the exclusive opportunity to explore these aspects by watching the recordings of the four online sessions for the Illustration for Gaming Season Creative Practice Course.

Our presenters are illustrators highly experienced in the gaming industry, working across concept art, creating characters, art direction and fund raising and making their own games.

Watch the Presentations and Q&A's via the link buttons below the images.

The Creative Practice Course is hosted by illustrator Dave Bain.

Each session gave members the opportunity to respond to one of two briefs set by the session illustrator. We encouraged members to make up to 3 rough ideas from the brief to bring along to the session where they were able to discuss their ideas with fellow illustrators in an informal setting.

If you?re catching up on the session videos, why not have a go at one of the briefs as well? Send any illustrations to [email protected] as we?d love to see them!
