Hi I’m Shóna (It’s Irish, and it’s pronounced Show-nah – just call me Sho!) Hanley. I am an illustrator based in the rural south(ish) west of the Republic of Ireland, and an avid fan of pattern making and printing. I started my career in 2019, after studying art with the Open College of Art. As a serial doodler, illustration suits my personality to a T as it allows me to explore tons of different subjects! I am addicted to creating repeat patterns. I never like to be sitting still and I love-love-love observing people and things and places. I love dogs – they are one of my favourite themes to draw and my own three are a source of constant inspiration. I license my artwork to companies for use on the products, I work on commissions and larger projects and I do some graphic design on the side. As the saying goes, a jack-of-all-trades is often better than a master of one – at least I think so! I’d love to get in touch with you to discuss that project you have in mind – there are no limits to what we can make!
