Peter Strain is an AOI (Association of Illustrators) Critics’ Choice Award-winning illustrator based in Belfast.He specialises in creating carefully composed, hand-rendered typography, animation and illustration. Peter always tries to experiment with texture, mark-making and various digital techniques to keep his work evolving.

Peter works on a wide range of commercial commissions and projects in the publishing, corporate, editorial and advertising sectors

His work is hugely influenced by film and music and aims to tackle social, political and cultural issues with a highly distinctive hand lettering style, bold imagery and humour.
Clients include: FILM4, Empire, The Guardian, Penguin, The New Yorker, Island Records, Domino, TIME magazine, BBC, FOX Sports, Queens Film Theatre, Frightfest ,Time Out, Sony, Esquire, The Big Issue, Jameson, BWIN, High Life Magazine, Unilever, The Ulster Hall, HUCK, University of Ulster The Washington Post and Adidas.
