Peter Horridge
Calligrapher, lettering/type/logo designer, illustrator, graphic designer, and ?for pleasure? painter or probably a more accurate collective title of all those is ?graphic artist? a slightly outmoded term now but it?s still a good description of what he does and increasingly rare to find these days.Originally from a small town in Lancashire, England, he now lives and works in the Cheshire countryside after a long period working in London in the early stages of his career.Peter built his business and reputation as one of the worlds leading lettering designers, particularly in the area of what is generally known as ?copperplate? or ?cursive script?, the classic and arguably the most difficult of the calligraphic forms, many of which he’s he’s superbly skilled at producing. His work has now progressed to cover a wide range of capabilities with a noticeable link to these underlying skills, calligraphic and line illustration, crests, and an updated form of engraving style, all striving to retain a timeless quality combined with an attention to detail that has become a hallmark. To see much more of his work visit www.horridge.com
