Louise Boughton
Louise Boughton is a Fashion Illustrator and Live Event Artist. Illustration has always been an integral part of her practice of documenting the display of clothing on the body in various contexts. Using a variety of different methods, Louise particularly enjoys drawing live to capture the narrative and character of a look in the moment and regularly illustrates live, front row, at London Fashion Week.
An understanding of drape and texture and a dynamic use of line help to create Louise’s vibrant fashion illustrations. She enjoys traditional approaches in her work but likes to push the possibilities of mark-making, media, and technique. This often includes areas of tactile and visual interest using approaches such as stitch, papercutting and monoprinting,
Louise also avidly keeps sketchbooks and loves drawing on location, observing varied landscapes and figures within various environments
