Hello! I’m Emily, I live in Kansas City, Missouri USA, and I love illustration. I have a BFA in Commercial Art from the University of Central Missouri, and an MFA in Illustration from the University of Edinburgh. Alongside freelance illustration and comics, I also teach drawing and design courses at the Metropolitan Community College of Kansas City.
In my illustration work, I like to tell stories with symbols and details that demand a second look. I enjoy absurd things visualized in a serious manner, serious things approached at a slant, and hidden details that add a touch of humor. I like a beautiful line and descriptive textures.
