Working Women

April 7 - June 30

This exhibition focuses on the art of Sheila Robinson (1925-88) and her daughter’s, Chloë Cheese (b.1952).

Cheese’s early life was influenced by living with her mother in Great Bardfield with its community of artists. Both mother and daughter were educated at the Royal College of Art, and drawing is at the heart of both practices, which encompass fine art, printmaking, and commercial illustration.
