The Mixer – disabled illustrators meet-up – Self Love workshop

Join our second meet-up for disabled illustrators, to unpick the importance of SELF LOVE and the big impact it has on creatives. Book below or via our Eventbrite.

The Mixer is the disabled illustrators AOI meet-up. Our meet-up is open to all disabled illustrators, in the widest possible definition. In this meet-up, we will share our best recipes for staying full of ideas when the blues knock on the door. We will unpick the importance of SELF LOVE and the big impact it has on creatives.

  • What are the most important things for a creative person living with a disability when it comes to self-love?
  • Why it is so important to maintain good mental health for illustrators and tips on how to keep our creative juices flowing.
  • How do we include self-love in our life as a creative?

We want to provoke a discussion about self love. A lot of people struggle loving themselves whether they are disabled or not and this has an enormous impact over their mental health and respectively this reflects on the quality of life. It’s a gentle reminder to give ourselves kudos for making it through the day and not taking life too seriously. All illustrators are welcome no matter where they stand in their professional career and whether they are an AOI member or not.
