The AOI’s Complete Guide to Freelance Illustration Course

Online Events, Workshops

After its success in previous years, we’re bringing back The Complete Guide to Freelance Illustration for its 2025 edition.

Harnessing our knowledge and experience as the world’s leading professional body for illustrators, The AOI has a designed this 6 week online course to help illustrators take proactive steps to progress in their careers. Each week you will explore an essential aspect of freelance illustration, how to market yourself, navigate licensing, contracts, finances, communicating with confidence and understanding how to work with clients.

Each live interactive session will be hosted by a different industry professional, who will be available to answer questions throughout and share their expertise with you.

You will have the chance to engage with a supportive group of likeminded illustrators, and there will be an optional opening and closing social to connect with other illustrators on the course.
