About this Event

We can’t wait to welcome Fran Meneses to Small Fry Chats & Draws on Thursday 8th April 7-9pm UK on Zoom!

Fran will be talking about what inspires her practice and keeps her motivated, working as an illustrator in New York during lockdown, her journey and projects, as well as lots more! The event will have some fun drawing prompts throughout so you can sketch along too, and will finish with a Q&A! See drawings from our past event here.

You can follow our Small Fry Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or Mailing List for updates and to keep in the loop of other projects & events. Join the Facebook event!

You will be emailed out a Zoom link to access the event on the 8th April. Event hosted by Small Fry Collective hosts Maisy Summer & Isobel Platt.

You can email [email protected] if you have any questions about this event!

My name is Francisca, but everybody calls me Fran. I was born and raised in Chile, a beautiful country by the end of South America. This is why I have an accent and my english grammar is not so good. I studied graphic design, but I’ve been drawing since I was 3 years old.

In 2013 my husband Ed and I made this crazy decision of selling everything we owned, pack one suitcase each, and moved (with our two fat cats Hamburguesa and Cereal) to Europe, in the search of our dream city/place to live. We’ve been living all over the world since then: Cologne, Berlin, London, Hastings, and in 2018 we moved to New York City.

Right now I’m working on my new graphic novel alongside Ed (he’s a writer!), and sharing illustrations on instagram or filming videos for my youtube channel. In 2019 I launched my new online shop We Are Nice Humans where I sell second-hand t-shirts and dope stationery!
