This Children’s Picture Book meet-up welcomes illustrators at all stages of development – from those just starting out, graduates early in their career, more established illustrators and authors or anyone with a passion for picture books!
Join us for an evening with illustrator and writer Charlotte Ager as she talks to us about her approach to making books and finding the right voice to tell different stories.
Charlotte is an illustrator and writer based in London who is drawn to poetry in everyday experience and the ways in which people can create narrative in spaces, both real and imagined. She enjoys working on a multitude of different projects and has worked for a wide range of clients including Google Design, The Guardian, New York Times, Financial Times, Soho House, Penguin Random House, and Harper Collins. Her first picture book for Children ‘Child of Galaxies’, written by Blake Nuto, was published by Flying Eye in 2020 and was shortlisted for the Klaus Flugge Prize.
