Join the Leeds illustrator meet-up to hear Bobbi Rae talk about her practice + a practical workshop focus on how to overcome creative block. Book your ticket here.
We’ve invited local Leeds illustrator Bobbi Rae to give a brief presentation; talking a little about her work and practice before focusing on Overcoming Creative Block; giving tips, tricks and practical exercises that helped her get over the hump – and that can help other illustrators.
Here’s a rundown of what Bobbi will talk about:
- introduction to her practice
- talk through her most well known works
- her favourite projects
- insight into her process
- times when she’s hit block
- ways she overcame it
The remaining time will be spent facilitating group and individual exercises that encourage play, experimentation and promote creative thinking. We can’t wait!
Who can come and what do I need?
It’ll be a relaxed, friendly evening, you’re welcome to come along alone or in a group. All illustrators are welcome, regardless of background, education, skill, age, etc. We will provide paper and pencils, but if you’ve got other materials that you enjoy using, please bring them along!

BREW is a relaxed illustrator’s get together hosted by Ekaterina Sheath and Vicky Hughes. This meetup is part of the Association of Illustrator’s network of local events: connecting and strengthening the community so we can support and learn from each other.
About Bobbi
Leeds-based illustrator, Bobbi Rae knows ‘being stuck in a creative rut’. But she’s also got some tips and tricks to help us keep the juices flowing when it feels like the well has run dry! Join us for an evening of discussion and activities; all aiming to help creatives get over the existential hump.
