Mindfulness@PAM: Meditative Drawing, USC Pacific Asia Museum and Yeu Q Nguyen – ONLINE EVENT



Join the USC Pacific Asia Museum and artist Yeu Q Nguyen for a mindful illustration workshop on zoom!

Unwind and discover your inner self in this mindful illustration workshop led by artist Yeu Q Nguyen. Grab your paper, pen, and meditation cushion for this one-hour workshop where you will learn techniques of visualisation meditation and how to draw beautiful zen lotus designs inspired by traditional Chinese embroidery.

Yeu Q Nguyen was born in Vietnam and immigrated to California as a teenager. Her artworks explore the connection between personal memory, cultural heritage, and contemporary social history. Q combines her literary, engineering, and artistic training in her art practice, which spans multiple disciplines such as lighting design, VR, painting, poetry, and sculpture. Notable exhibitions include the Autry’s Southwest Museum, the Audubon Center at Debs Park, the Laemmle Theatre at Claremont, the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art among other spaces. Q is also trilingual, an avid rock climber, and the youngest board member of the Arroyo Arts Collective in Highland Park.
