London´s Places by Akesi Martinez at Barbican Library Hall
Exhibitions‘London´s places’ by member Akesi Martinez is now exhibited at the Barbican Library Hall.
The project is a one year exploration process of the city of London through urban sketching. On-site digital drawings where colours are the main characters. This work explores on site life drawings, capturing the mood of the surroundings and people’s interactions with a conceptual, and expressive technique. The illustrations are colourful where people are the central characters.
Akesi Martínez is a publishing and editorial illustrator interested in visual conceptualization and simplification, playing with the relation between the narrative of the process and movement through colours and textures. Mainly in mixed media technique. Shortlisted in 2023 for the 65th SOI (New York Society of Illustrators) and American illustrators winners 42nd. Please note that the library is closed on Sundays.
