Finding your Creative Confidence with The Arena

March 28 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The Arena team will be sharing their own ups and downs with this topic and their advice on how to find your creative confidence. Book via our Eventbrite.

What is creative confidence? Where can I find some of it? And once I’ve found it, how on earth do I hang on to it?

In this session, The Arena team will be sharing their own ups and downs with this topic and their advice on how to find your creative confidence.

What we’ll cover:

  • Defining creative confidence – what it is vs. what it isn’t, what it looks like vs. feels like
  • The ingredients we need to feed it – where we can look for some creative confidence both internally and externally
  • How creative confidence is like a muscle and pushing out of our comfort zones is the best kind of exercise
  • The ups and downs of confidence – Riding the resilience rollercoaster and handling rejection like a pro
  • Befriending your inner critic – how we can turn self-doubt into something constructive
  • Everyday ways to maintain your creative confidence – your go-to exercises when you’re feeling low on confidence

Book your ticket here.

About The Arena:
The Arena is a not-for-profit creative community and mentoring platform for designers and illustrators. It’s a space to share resources and opportunities and connect people all over the UK with the shared goal of making the industry a better place.

About Lauren & Dom:
Dom dreamt up the original idea for The Arena after graduating university in 2018. Witnessing and experiencing the struggles of entering the industry first-hand, he became determined to help as many people as possible pursue a creative career. Dom is now a freelance brand designer who has worked with some of the worlds leading creative agencies. Does he still battle with imposter syndrome? Absolutely.

Without Lauren, The Arena would have remained just another nice idea. Lauren’s marketing and project management background turns our big thinking into real-world impact. She works in marketing for the public sector and her music has over 5 million streams on Spotify. Does she still experience moments of self-doubt? 100%.

Who’s this for:
Regardless of our career stage, we all get that voice in our head that whispers seeds of doubt and makes us think we’re not good enough. That’s all part of being a creative, but for many, it can be the thing holding us back. This talk is for anyone ready to challenge their inner critic and start building their creative confidence.

A recording will be sent to all booked attendees after the live event.
