Field Trip: National Museum of Scotland / Edinburgh meet-up
Free Events, Meet UpsMeeting at Hawthornden Court in the National Museum of Scotland, we’ll start off our Field Trip at Victoria Crowe’s large tree tapestry and explore the different areas of the museum through drawing.
Rough Draft (Edinburgh illustrator meet-up) welcome illustrators from all backgrounds, styles, and experience levels to join us – regardless of if you are a member of the AOI or not, so please come along, bring something to draw with, something to draw on, and invite other illustrators along, too! The museum has asked that we only use pens and pencils – so avoid bringing messy materials with you this time.
On the field trip, we’ll be:
- Doing some fun and low-pressure drawing
- Meeting new folk
- Exploring the museum
Come along to the National Museum of Scotland from 10:15am – 12:30pm on Monday the 21st of July 2025, grab one of the museum’s folding seats, say hello, and meet fellow Edinburgh illustrators. We will be meeting in front of the Victoria Crowe large tree tapestry in Hawthornden Court (the big space after the bookshop via the Tower Entrance).
Mhairi and Tristan of the Rough Draft team are looking forward to seeing you!
