Drawn Into Children’s Publishing / Manchester meet up

Drawn In is back with an unmissable Drawn In event at House of Books and Friends, their favourite bookshop in Manchester, followed by a drinks social at a bar nearby.

This time, Drawn In is bringing you an incredible opportunity to learn directly from Mark Mills, founder of The Plum Agency, who brings over 30 years of experience in children’s publishing.

Mark will share his expert insights on thriving in the picture book industry and what it takes to get your work noticed. Following on, Drawn In will invite three illustrators to have their portfolio reviewed live by Mark, giving selected attendees the chance to hear how a top agent provides feedback!

• A deep dive into children’s publishing, with advice on how to succeed as a children’s book illustrator.
• Three live portfolio reviews to learn about how an agent gives feedback.
• A relaxed, engaging atmosphere where you can connect with fellow illustrators and gain new inspiration.

We will wrap up at House of Books and Friends by 9pm and then head to a nearby bar for a drinks social – everyone welcome.
