Creating a Manifesto with Jennifer White-Johnson

Online Events, Talks

Join us for the second of these quarterly events to explore how Neurodivergent illustrators navigate their work and practices in industry.

In this online session, we invite artist and activist Jennifer White-Johnson to talk about her collage illustrations and share how activism plays a role in her creative practice, influencing the commissions she receives. As a neurodivergent mother, Jennifer will also share her experiences in navigating multiple positions when working commercially, advocating for equal rights and sharing her newest publication: A Black Neurodivergent Artist’s Manifesto.

As well as hearing from Jennifer, we will aim to have time for questions from attendees, with the aim of learning how many neurodivergent illustrators navigate relevance, recognition and taking a stance in their illustration day-to-day.
