This session is particularly aimed at illustrators who are underrepresented in public speaking contexts.
As well as developing key skills the session will support confidence in proactively seeking opportunities and when speaking in public at schools, panels, festivals and beyond.
Areas covered include;
Develop a helpful mindset in pursuing speaking opportunities
- What makes a great speaker?
- Making the right first impression
- Your personal presentation style
- Physical presence
- Using your voice to influence
- Structuring your pitches and presentations
- Storytelling
- Managing nerves
This two hour session will be delivered virtually with discussion, break out rooms and opportunity to practice. The AOI has worked with Sarah Cartwright on previous sessions and the team have come away inspired and empowered. This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart 2021!
