Comic ○ Zine Workshop: Cut Out Club

Workshops

Learn how to tell a comic strip-style story in just three mini zine panels – no drawing skills needed. Run by Cut Out Club

Ever wanted to make your own comic but didn’t know where to start? In this workshop, we will explore how to turn mini zines into mini comics through warm-up activities, creative prompts, and a relaxed block of time to bring your three-panel story to life

We’ll play around with panel formats, character creation, and narratives. And we’ll have a special guest comic illustrator, Evie McCutcheon, with us who can help give you some tips and tricks along the way.

Comics can capture everything from everyday moments to the wild adventures you experience in your dreams, using collage, doodles, and simple storytelling tricks. So whether you’re into superheroes, slice-of-life scenes, or absurd humor, this is your space to experiment and create.

You do not need any prior experience to take part (though we always do like to welcome back familiar faces!). Embrace the element of chance, make new like-minded friends, join our supportive community, and most importantly – have fun delving into the zine-making process!
