BAPLA Webinar – Protecting your Content
In anticipation of the UK Government’s response to the consultation on the Enforcement Framework, BAPLA look at the infringement landscape from two different angles – the legal and the technical.
Joining this session will be legal expert Elizabeth Morley from Howard Kennedy. This will open up to a discussion by a technology services provider to talk about the challenges with the use and protection of image content online.
The first part of the webinar will cover image use and the challenges around enforcement under the legal framework in the UK, as well as how this differs internationally.
We’ll take a look at common types of uses, infringements and when litigation is likely to feature. We’ll also talk about what happens in the lead up to cases at the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court, including the use of the Small Claims Track.
The second part will be a discussion on infringements online and different ways to protect content on the internet and social media – more information to follow.
