Ever wondered what exactly an agent does? How do you know when you’re ready for an agent or if you need one? Even then, how do you go about getting one and what should you look for?

This session will take a comprehensive look at the relationship between agent and illustrator and help to demystify agents and their role in aiding illustrators’ careers.

It will offer you practical advice and insights, helping you to consider if you might need an agent and if so, how to go about your search.

We’ll cover:

– Types of agencies

– The role of an agent

– The illustrator’s role (your commitments)

– Agency to Illustrator Agreements

– How to approach agents

– Q&A, at the end of the session.

The webinar will be delivered by AOI Membership Advisor Brittany Freeman, who has previously worked as an illustration agent at London based agencies, including B&A London.

Platform: This webinar will be a live online presentation through Zoom, and you’ll have the opportunity to submit questions during the session.
