AOI | Yo Illo Talks 2020 welcomes celebrated visual storyteller Matt Saunders and his agent, Jon Cockley, co-founder of Handsome Frank, for an intimate conversation about their collaborative partnership. Matt has created art for some of the most famous licencing properties, including Star Wars, Spiderman: Into The Spiderverse, and Harry Potter/Pottermore. Jon has represented many talented artists in the UK, including one of our first speakers, Timba Smits.

WHO’S SPEAKING?
Matt Saunders is an experienced freelance illustrator based in London, whose work is often rooted in creating fantastical atmospheres. Matt creates visually unique images and solves visual problems. He’s worked extensively in the publishing, design and advertising worlds, creating everything from book covers to billboards for clients ranging from banks to Broadway.
Jon Cockley is the co-founder of Handsome Frank, a talent agency representing over 35 illustrators. If that wasn’t enough, the agency has expanded into photography and film production with a spin-off called Hancock & Handsome.
