Why did you choose to enter this work?
I really like this work and I think it can show what is happening in my mind. And I try to design a living scene to imply the stories behind every characters.
What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
I think the details in the house which reflecting the personality of each character is my favorite part. For example, the posters on the walls are mostly showing the interests of each character.
What excites you most about being shortlisted?
I think it is a great encouragement for me to keep doing illustrations and creating my own style. And I am very proud that more people can see my works.
Where do you usually work?
Just my room I guess. I spend most of my time in my room when I am working. It really provides me sense of security and freedom.
How long did it take to complete your project?
It longs for almost 2 months for the whole series. Each of them usually take me 5-20 hours depending on the complexity.
What is your dream commission?
I really don’t know yet.
What’s your favourite thing to draw?
I think is inner space of house? Especially the details in the houses.
What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Just experience more.
What are your plans for the future?
I think I will keep my architectural study and also try to become an illustrator.
