The illustrations were created for Wired World Annual 2022 and were commissioned by Wired UK. The illustrations depict the latest trends and topics about the future of our transport systems, such as the electrification of heavy goods vehicles, edge node sensors on roadsides, creating the greenest battery for electric vehicles and the use of green fuel for air travel.
How was the illustration used: For the Wired World Annual 2021 magazine.
How did you make this work: The illustrations were made digitally using Photoshop and a Wacom tablet. Analogue elements such as textures from mono-printing were incorporated as well. Art direction by Mary Lees.

Biography:
Yo Hosoyamada is a Japanese illustrator based in London. She works for clients big and small on illustrations for magazines, books, branding and animation. Her work often explores colourful and playful compositions, dealing with fun little narratives within cityscapes and architectural spaces. She graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) before attending Camberwell College of Art.
