Lemon Chicken Por favor
GoGo Zine

Un-commissioned | Professional

Why did you make this work:
GoGo is a self initiated kids magazine. After struggling to land commissions for popular children’s publications, I decided to make my own. I wanted to produce a magazine that was the right mix of fun and interesting with fun facts, activities, puzzles, history, crafts, interviews and stories. Each issue carries a different theme and is currently published four times a year. @gogokidszine

How was the illustration used:
GoGo is aimed at middle readers for boys & and girls from 7 years up, but it is super popular with zine collectors. GoGo is currently sold online (via Etsy) and in independent gift and book stores.

How did you make this work:
I'm a vector artist so GoGo is created using Adobe Illustrator and it takes me 3 months to complete an issue. It requires a lot of research, writing planning and editing. I work on it around my other illustration work, mostly nights and weekends. It's then set up for print using Adobe Indesign and is printed on 100% recycled paper stock in Melbourne Australia by @printtogether.
