The ABC was creating a podcast and a long online piece around the significant bushfires that ripped through Australia on New Years 2020. They reached out to me to collaborate on an immersive layout to tell the story of one family who suffered through the fires. The piece paints a world of danger, uncertainty, and the lengths a family will go to protect each other.
How was the illustration used: Rolled out online through the ABC website and mobile news app and accompanying the Days Like These podcast.
How did you make this work: Digital illustration using Wacom Cintiq and Adobe Photoshop
