I have made this piece as part of a portfolio I am building. I am inspired by stories and images with a narrative, in this case a figure from an old family photograph created inspiration.
How was the illustration used: This illustration is intended to be used in a children's book illustration.
How did you make this work: This piece is made using mixed-media, so hand-printed papers, collage, pen, paint, pencil crayon. Media and materials are layered to create a composition.

Biography:
Sally grew up in Cheshire in the UK. She completed a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at Bath School of Art in 1996. Sally has since sold paintings while exhibiting work in galleries, completed commissions for private clients and created a Textile design for a commercial client. Sally now makes work in her home studio to balance family life. She sells work regularly to private clients.
