Lucia Vinti
Van Gogh and Britain For Families

Design Product & Packaging

Commissioned | New Talent

Why did you make this work:
I was commissioned to do the illustrations for this concertina book by the learning department at Tate, after they had seen some of my personal work about museums.

How was the illustration used:
The illustration was given out for free to families and children at the exhibition entrance, and acted as a guide for the show.

How did you make this work:
I did all the individual elements of the illustrations by hand, working in coloured pencil and brush pen. I also used collage materials for the background. Then I scanned them in and compiled all the elements on the computer. The layouts were then adjusted by the designer at Tate.
