Why did you make this work:
I wanted to created a picture book that explores the spectrum of a different colour on each page. Every spread in Colin Collects Colors focuses on a different landscape from around the world, filled with hidden animals for the reader to find.

How was the illustration used:
These illustrations were created to accompany the text I wrote for the picture book Colin Collects Colors, which will be published by Little Bee Books in 2020. The book will teach children about the amazing colours in the world and encourage them to go out and explore it.

How did you make this work:
The illustrations were created using a mix of digital and traditional techniques. I spend time researching the different animals that populate the landscapes before sketching out the spreads. I then layered handmade textures with digital painting to created the finished artwork.
