Why did you make this work:
This book is a chapter book and I was asked to illustrate this text. I can relate to the feeling that Lila has, as much as I love traveling and exploring, I've always wished to belong somewhere. This is the brief I was given: Lila Sacher was orphaned and lives with her uncle Argus, a brilliant and extravagant inventor that travels the world. Lila's deepest wish is to have a place to call home.

What materials and techniques did you use?:
I've used crayons, pencils, printmaking, stencils, ink, pens.

How were your illustrations used:
In a chapter book, for children around twelve years old.
