New TalentWhy did you make this work:
Tarzan is a teaser music video produced for Yoba's EP album. Yoba shared that as a child, when she was alone at home, she often imagined playing with animal friends like Tarzan. Inspired by this, I created an animation that adds a narrative layer: animal friends approach a lonely child playing with animal dolls in her room and lead her out, turning her imagination into reality."
What materials and techniques did you use?:
I used Cinema 4D as my main program, setting the scene layout and animating within it. To achieve a handcrafted feel, I modeled in ZBrush and used Substance Painter for textures and colors. Clothes were designed in Marvelous Designer, and I used Octane Renderer for rendering.

Biography:
Sujin Kim is an Illustrator and Animation director based in Seoul, Korea. She majored in Visual Communiation Design at Hongik University. She explores the fragile emotions and desires within the human psyche through storytelling, creating handcrafted-style 3D images. Her work spans music video, short animation, media walls, and sometimes incorporates sculpture.
