Why did you make this work:
Winny and Whoo are two best friends on a journey of self-discovery and even though it may not always go according to plan, they always have each other to rely on. This was designed as an introduction to a children's book I am currently writing. As an illustrator/animator, I wanted to introduce both characters and showcase their playfulness and friendship through a short animation.

What materials and techniques did you use?:
The animation was done frame by frame and cleaned up using a mixture of Photoshop, Procreate and Animate. The backgrounds were painted in Photoshop and the lighting was finalised in After Effects.

Biography:
Sarah is an illustrator and animator based in Dublin. She has worked as a designer on many films and TV shows for clients like Netflix, Disney, the BBC and RTE. Her passion lies in illustration, particularly children's books and in animation. She was shortlisted for the World Illustration Awards in 2023 and in 2022 and is currently developing a number of projects she is very excited about.
