New TalentWhy did you make this work:
In this piece I wanted to depict "feeling at home". To me, coming home means staying over at my best friend’s place on a rainy night for an evening full of cuddles, take out and silly tv shows. This is where I feel like I truly belong.
What materials and techniques did you use?:
I used Procreate to draft the idea, TV Paint for the final illustration and animation, and Final Cut Pro for editing.
How were your illustrations used: I made it partly as a submission for the AR poster exhibition of Kaboom Animation Festival, as well as for the fun of it. It has also been posted to my Instagram.

Kira Joy is an animator and illustrator from Germany, that loves to express herself by putting silly little characters in colourful and relatable scenarios. In 2023 she graduated with a Master's in Animation from the St. Joost School of Art and Design in the Netherlands.
