Aurélie is a graphic designer and sometimes an illustrator. She divides her time between corporate communication, the press and publishing.

After graduating from the École supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg (HEAR), she moved to Paris and worked for more than 15 years with press and publishing agencies and became the artistic director of the Gallmeister Editions Fiction collection in 2018.

Luis Mendo is an artist living in Tokyo. After working as a creative director for 20 years in Amsterdam, he moved to Japan and changed his career to drawing. His illustrations can be found on websites, magazines and advertising. He also runs creative residency Almost Perfect with his wife Yuka.

Michael is the design director for Scientific American and responsible for ScientificAmerican.com, and its newsstand specials. He and his team establish the visual language for the brand and produce its award-winning graphic design, illustrations, photography and information graphics. He was not always a science journalist, having designed for magazines as disparate as Esquire and Architectural Record, but his love of science led him to work for Discover magazine and produce award winning design for that publication as well. Always curious, he works on and builds cars, is an artist and practices fencing in his off time.

Dr Jenny Grigg is Art Director at Giramondo Publishing and a Senior Lecturer in the School of Design at RMIT University Melbourne. Her professional career includes positions as Art Director at Rolling Stone Magazine Australia, MTV Australia, and Senior Designer at Pentagram in London. She has designed for Faber and Faber, Granta Books, UQP and Scribe including titles by Peter Carey, Paul Auster and Eleanor Catton. She has won multiple design awards, a 2011 State Library Victoria Creative Fellowship and induction into the Design Institute of Australia’s Hall of Fame in 2020. She researches graphic design history and material literacy in graphic design ideation.

Dreph’s work is rooted in community engagement and aims to centre and amplify everyday people from his community. He works between a studio practice and street murals and as an educator, he has taught art across the spectrum of educational settings. Dreph currently teaches Illustration at Portsmouth University.

Yawen is an Animation director and Illustrator for young audiences. Upon earning her Masters degree in University of Southern California, she taught animation at art college in Shanghai for several years and now lives in Japan.

2019, she was selected to the Artist Residency Program at Folimage Studio in France and directed the short animation “Kiko et Les Animaux”.

Her works have won more than 10 international awards, including the Young Audience Award of Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Best Short Film Award of the European Children’s Film Association, etc. Her works have also been selected to more than 100 international animation festivals including Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, Ottawa International Animation Festival, Stuttgart Trickfilm International Animated Film Festival, etc.

She primarily focuses on narrative animation, experiments digitally and draws by hand. She utilizes poetic storytelling to express the beauty and preciousness of nature and life through her Zen journey.

Olivia Skoglund is a Swedish cartoonist best known for her comedic comics tackling queer themes. Her debut Graphic Novel “Nästan i Mål!” [Close but no cigar] was listed on Paul Gravett’s Best Graphic Novels of 2020, despite not yet having been officially translated. She is currently freelancing, working on her second book, and is one of the main organizers of the Malmö Zine Fest.
