WIA2021: Highlights from the Professional Site Specific Longlist

The World Illustration Awards 2021 Longlist features 500 projects by New Talent and Professional illustrators from all over the world across ten categories. This year, the awards celebrate great illustration! The Illustration was designed to become 5 1.4 x 2m large wall hangings to adorn the walls of a coffee shop in Fujairah, UAE. Commissioned by Rabbit Hole Agency in Leeds, via Twenty Seven Twelve, with the idea to replicate a vintage aesthetic.

Freddie Denton is Leeds, UK, based. He works across illustration, printmaking, muralism and design.

Music City Vintage held a contest for a mural concept – one that included a boombox – to showcase in their new location.

Alexandria Hall is a professional muralist and illustrator from Nashville, USA.

The illustration is used as a mural for the Children’s Assessment Waiting room & Treatment Bays at The Grange Hospital.

Matt Joyce is freelance illustrator based in the UK, specialising in illustrated murals, animations & maps. 

The artwork is used for a series of murals on Orchard Central’s wooden benches and planters. The mural consists of 3 planters and 3 benches in different sizes and layout.

Jacelyn Zhen is a visual artist and designer from Singapore. Creating under a moniker, Bbblob, she explores harmony in form and colour.

Set of Illustrations of famous motorcycling stars for the meeting rooms at Dainese (famous Italian manufacturer of technical and protective equipment for riders) headquarters.

Italian born Osvaldo Casanova has been an art director, a graphic designer, a copywriter, a cartoonist and also teaches graphic design in Italy.
