Column Arts Agency presents the exhibition Converge: Illustration On Photography. Created in partnership with portrait photographer Mark Salmon, Converge has been commissioned as part of Birmingham’s annual visual arts and pop culture festival Eye Candy. The show explores how the mediums of photography and illustration can work together.
Dancers from the Birmingham Royal Ballet have been photographed in dynamic and contorted positions, providing a warped and unusual canvas for the Birmingham-based illustrators to work on. Six of the Column artists have worked on the photographs, producing ideas that are inspired by the shapes of the dancers bodies and the productions they have appeared in.
