Political times

We’re living in interesting political times – a pertinent time to visit the Steve Bell (political cartoonist of the Guardian amongst others) exhibition currently on at the Cartoon Museum in central London.

I went at the weekend, and it’s the first exhibition I’ve been to where you keep hearing people chuckling or laughing out loud! Steve’s sharp wit and memorable depictions of our ‘glorious’ leaders make for an entertaining show spanning the last few decades. Original artwork, sketchbooks, and filmed segments give an interesting view into Steve’s process and is well worth a visit. If you can’t make it during the day they have two late nigh openings on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st July. Don’t forget to take your penguin!
