Using a combination of watercolour and digital drawings, Jae Hee created this series of illustrations inspired by their dream of swimming on a hot summer evening.
Jae Hee is an illustrator based in South Korea who recently graduated from a MA in Illustration at Hongik University.
Lilla Turi : Things I Remember
This picturebook started off as a translation of Lilla’s grandfather’s family photographs.
The drawings slowly developed into a silent picturebook that collected special and everyday moments of their lives.
Lilla imagined it as a collective memory album to start conversations and help share our own stories.
The illustrations were created using a combination of acrylic paints, coloured pencils, wax crayons and gouache.
Lilla Turi is a Budapest-based illustrator and picturebook maker, who graduated from Cambridge School of Art in 2021.
Hannah Arnesen : Stardust – A Graphic Novel
Stardust is a graphic novel created by mixing language – from the poetic and visual to the scientific – and portrays the climate crisis to take the reader on a journey through the earth’s past, present and future.
It is a story about the process of the universe; where life becomes death and death becomes life.
The illustrations were painted using a combination of acrylics and watercolour.
Hannah Arnesen is a Swedish illustrator and writer based in Stockholm.
Collect Love was created as a picture book about people’s strange “collecting habits”.
Many of Chuyin’s family members and friends have some strange but lovely collections and he was inspired to depict these collections in this series of illustrations.

Chuyin Wang is an illustrator who is initially from China and now a New York-based freelance illustrator.
When Yufei arrived in the USA to study at art school in Chicago she was impressed by the dynamic city’s culture and varied styles of architecture. This series of illustrations were created to express her experiences as a newcomer to the city.
The illustrations were painted with acrylic paint on 11 x 14 sized canvases.
Yufei Xiong is an artist currently studying as an international student at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
