What first grabs you about a new book, whether it’s fiction or non-fiction? The cover, naturally, and there is an amazing range of approaches for producing a cover illustration. As part of the Publishing: Book Covers season of Inside Illustration, members could take part in sessions with mock briefs.
AOI members responded to briefs for a non-fiction cover relating to nature, a romance cover, an alternative cover for Murder on the Orient Express, or a cover based on one of their existing images or a made up title.
