The World Illustration Awards 2021 Longlist features 500 projects by New Talent and Professional illustrators from all over the world across ten categories. This year, the awards celebrate great illustration! This work is a combination of photography, illustration and animation. It is about my hero: my cousin.

Kiddo Pan is a Baltimore, USA based illustrator and street artist who grew up in Inner Mongolia, China.

The illustration is a mural spreading over two walls, creating Parisian flair within a flower shop, ‘The Flowercart’.

Born in Austria, Laura discovered her passion for surfing in 2016 which has shaped her life and creative work since. She lived in Taranaki, NZ until early 2021.

This series of illustration is based on Washington Irving’s short story from his collection: The Sketchbook of Geoffrey Crayon, inspired by the city of Gent.

Haley Jiang is based in Canada and has studied at ArtCenter College of Design.

This work was made for the Mander centre in Wolverhampton to go alongside their new arcade section.

Patrick Campbell-Brookes is an Illustration student from the west midlands, UK. Currently in final year (Graduating 2021) at the University of Wolverhampton.

Renovation work for a site that had been abandoned for several years, near an ancient Sanctuary and a natural pond. The artwork is acrylic paint on wooden board.

Elena Margherita Furini lives and works in Italy. She has a degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and teaches drawing, art and history of art.

This mural painting was created for the store front window of Haveli Home Decor, a store selling furniture, home textiles, lights and decorative objects mostly from India and South south Asia. 

Iranian born Melika Saeeda now lives and works in Canada.
