Why did you make this work:
I created the first image of the Old Town shop because I had recently left London to move to Norfolk. I was really keen to meet and document some of the local makers I admired, so contacted Old Town, who make beautiful workwear from their workshop in Holt. When I delivered the drawing, Will and Marie, who set up Old Town together, commissioned me to draw the workings of their shop/workroom.

How was the illustration used:
The illustrations are being used on the Old Town website, to give a feel for the process behind their garments.

How did you make this work:
I visited the shop where I took photos and had a lovely cup of tea with Will and Marie, hearing all about how they started out and grew their brand. Their ethos is very much high quality, hand made, and traditional. With this in mind I chose to use a mixture of colouring pencil and pen on paper, to emphasise this craft, detail and tradition. I drew them both working away in the upstairs windows.
