New TalentWhy did you make this work:
This visual narrative is based on a local café that I frequent. When flicking through my sketchbook to find inspiration for my masters project I noticed that the sketches of people I made at the café were really vivid. From these sketches I began to generate narratives inspired by the characters I saw there and their habits, eccentricities and foibles. The short graphic story is the result.
How was the illustration used: This book was one of the projects I developed for the final stage of my Masters.
How did you make this work: This project is created by a digital approach inspired by some Risograph experiments I did in the early stages of this project. Using a limited colour and overlays of colour I was able to create a light, playful feeling that is pleasing on the eye.
