Why did you make this work:
Last summer, I was invited to contributing artworks for the Dali Exhibition in China. Although it was an unpaid project, as a student who just graduated from college for 1 month, I think it was a great chance to get exposed. Another reason that I was happy to take this challenge is I am a big fan of Dali. To create artworks based on the famous artist is fun and challenging.

How was the illustration used:
The illustrations were used for the advertising campaign, another important purpose was used for the exhibition tickets.

How did you make this work:
Basically, I drew the sketches on Procreate then finished the pieces on Photoshop.

Yiffy Gu is an illustrator who is initially from China and now based on the United States. She graduated with Bachelor's degrees of illustration from Columbus College of Art & Design in 2019. She is passionate about creating beautiful color palettes, unique textures, and illustrating using a variety of elements. The selected clients include Wired Magazine, Adage Magazine, etc.
