Why did you make this work:
I created this work while studying illustration hons at Falmouth University. It was a speculative project to create a header image for an online New York Times article. I created the brief myself and the project contributed to my university work.

How was the illustration used:
The illustration is intended to be a speculative header illustration for an online article.

How did you make this work:
I used procreate to create the final image and pencil and paper to create any thumbnails and final roughs. I also used a multitude of my own textures that I had scanned or photographed and put into procreate. Textures included photos of concrete and various surfaces.

Biography:
I am an English illustrator from Oxfordshire, currently living and working in Falmouth, Cornwall. I recently graduated from Falmouth University after studding a BA (Hons) in Illustration. My work focuses on conceptual illustration in an editorial context, with a surreal and conceptually focused style. I love history, philosophy and idea making.
