Why did you choose to enter this work?
Pool Bus was a commissioned cover for Illustoria Magazine #22 Invention Issue. I had so much fun from brainstorming with the AD, Beth to making the piece, that I want to share the fun with everyone.

What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
Making a mini mockup to test out my idea, and I love how tiny and charming the mini pool bus is!

What excites you most about being shortlisted?
I am so honored and excited to have the opportunity to share my work and connect with artists all over the world!

Where do you usually work?
I love wearing a grey coverall (the one that makes you look like you are working in a car garage) and getting messy. My work station usually switching between sketchbook, clay, wood, to my laptop.

How long did it take to complete your project?
This was a very nicely paced project and I enjoy the time very much! I have about 3-4 months from brainstorming ideas to the finish ceramics sculpture, and add on the ink drawings and letterings.

What is your dream commission?
Design playsets & playing books for little kids and big kids at heart:)

What’s your favourite thing to draw?
Animals! I love making stories where the animal characters exploring and discovering new things!

What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Make what you love, and share the fun with the world.

What are your plans for the future?
Keep playing, drawing, and making:) I have so many ideas about books and short film that I am excited to bring them to life.
