Sisi Kim
A Messy Day

Exploration

Un-commissioned | New Talent

Why did you make this work:
In this project, I likened the global climate change issue to "a messy day". We are already entering an era where climate change is common. This problem come up small and light, but they continue to seep into our lives, just as little chewing gum on the floor annoys us. I portrayed the issue as surreal landscapes that included snowfall in the desert, a burning house, and animals with warning sign.

How was the illustration used:
The purpose of this project was an image to be used as an experiment for personal portfolios, new ideas and tools.

How did you make this work:
I tried to create a new look by combining 3D realism with 2D hand-drawings. For example, I added a 2D hand-drawings as a texture on 3D modeling to create a natural look and avoid overly realistic vibes.
